Make-a-the-Bread (part 1)
MissBHavens vlogged the most amazing sounding bread recipe awhile back. In fact, you should just go watch her video about it – it’s much more entertaining and instructional than this one. And she includes the actual recipe. But MissB told me if I make the bread she wants me to vlog it, and since I tried it during NaVloPoMo, well, I’ve got something to post, don’t I? What, you want me to argue with MissB? No! I do what she says!
I’ve been obsessing over finding the right ceramic crock pot to bake the bread in. But since I’m not very interested in paying more than $100 for a decent one, I have given up, and I’m using my grandmother’s somewhat rusty enameled iron pot. I am so crazy when I try something new. I want everything exactly like the instructions say so that I know what to expect. After I do something once I feel really free to experiment, but that first time I’m a nervous wreck. You’ll see that play out today and tomorrow.
This bread recipe takes 22 hours to make, so you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out if the bread is a hit or a flop. Give me a quick kiss for luck!

KissKiss! For luck!
You are delightfully neurotic in the kitchen! Ten bonus point for using the King Arthur. I do think it makes a difference. I also think that the enamel pot is fine. The first time I made it I used pretty much the exact same one: a big lightweight black & white fleckled number and it turned out fine.
I LOVE a cliffhanger!

Ha ha, you think that’s neurotic MissB, just wait until tomorrow. I get VERY worried about the bread!

I am opposite in the kitchen. If it says soft brown sugar and I have icing sugar I go, “oh well,” and stick it in. That’s why much of what I make used to fuck up. I think I’m different now, growing up has made me actually follow recipes rather than use them as a general guide. Looking forward to the bread. I tried to make it under pressure of a dinner party and messed it up. I shall try again though.

Hey Robert, no foreshadowing now!!

Was that an ice scrapper you were using to mix the bread with?! You will find, I notice the oddest things……

Ah I love stuff like this. I’m kinda glad that I’m so far behind … now I don’t have to wait a whole day for part two
